Horsham and District Relay for Life team MASH has an Essendon jumper signed by Bombers legend and Dimboola export Tim Watson and his footballer son Jobe.
The team is auctioning the jumper via its Facebook page.
Team member Judy Howie said the guernsey was on display at Horsham Sports and Leisure.
She said people could inbox the Facebook page with their bid.
The page will be updated frequently to reflect the highest current bid.
Mrs Howie said the silent auction would run until 5pm on August 1.
She said the team hoped to raise as much money as possible for Relay for Life.
"Our motivation has been that we all know someone with cancer,'' she said.
"We're raising money, not only for the MASH team, but for Horsham as a community.''
All money raised will go towards cancer research and awareness.
Mrs Howie said people could like the page to keep up-to-date with the latest bid.
She encouraged people to share the page to help drum up support.
