Premier John Brumby admitted Victoria’s child protection system had failed a Wimmera toddler who is fighting for her life hospital after allegedly being bashed by her father. The father was found dead at Minyip at 8am on Monday. The girl, 2, was taken from St Arnaud hospital by air ambulance to the Royal Children’s Hospital at 4.30am on Wednesday with head injuries.
