Emergency services were called to Dimboola-Rainbow Road, just north of Stony Crossing Road, about 1.50pm on Wednesday.
Rainbow Leading Senior Constable Tony Clark said a vehicle veered further onto the left-hand side of the road.
He said the driver subsequently over-corrected, then lost control of the vehicle.
"The vehicle ended up overturning onto its roof," he said.
"The driver, a 53-year-old woman from Rainbow, was conveyed by ambulance to Rainbow Hospital with minor cuts and abrasions."
A Rainbow Hospital spokeswoman said the woman was voluntarily discharged about 4.40pm without seeking further medical attention.
Leading Sen Const Clark said police were continuing their investigations.
