Staff participated in Steptember – a worldwide fundraiser for children and adults living with the disease.
Participants walked 10,000 steps a day for the month and had hosted fundraisers.
Chief executive Justine Linley said they raised $2269 through activities such as a raffle and bake sale.
“The staff who participated walked 6,391,432 steps, which equates to 4870 kilometres,” she said.
“That's the equivalent of walking from Melbourne to Alice Springs and back again.”
Ms Linley said staff enjoyed the challenge of trying to achieve their 10,000 steps a day.
“Many have said it's something they're continuing with it, which is great to see,” she said.
Ms Linley said staff wanted to get involved because they knew many people who work in offices were not at active as they should be.
“We wanted to encourage a healthy and active workplace,” she said.
“Research shows office workers only do an average of 3000 steps a day and I think many of our staff were shocked by just how little they do get to move around during the day.”
