Mr Bolwell will join Woolworths staff and Victoria Police officers on the Ride for Kids, which is from October 13 to 20.
Mr Bolwell said the money he raised would go directly to the Cops N Kids camps a retreat for children living with cancer.
"I have spent a lot of time at the Royal Children's Hospital and have seen a lot of sick children, which encouraged me to do this," he said.
"It has been proven that things like a positive environment and positive support helps children in recovery immensely."
Children who attend the Cops N Kids camp in Ballarat are treated to helicopter flights, pony rides and admission to major tourist attractions.
Mr Bolwell said the ride began in Ballarat and stopped at Colac, Warrnambool, Portland and Hamilton before arriving in Horsham on Wednesday.
Horsham Safeway assistant manager Nathan Martin said he hoped the ride would assist children living with long-term illnesses.
"Safeway is involved throughout western Victoria and the ride will stop at each Woolworths store en route," he said.
Mr Bolwell said people could donate at http://800ksin8days.com.
