After matches were washed out at Horsham Lawn last week, competition was back in full swing on Saturday. Horsham Lawn Bardell narrowly edged out St Michaels by one game to claim its first victory for the season.
Ethan McRae led the way for Bardell, winning his three sets.
Kalkee cruised to victory over Horsham Lawn Savage, winning 10 sets to four.
The Kees' men overpowered their Savage opponents, winning every men's set on offer.
The Savage women won all of their team's sets for the day.
In the final pennant match of the round, Central Park Red won its first match of the season with a nine-sets-to-five victory over Haven.
Daniel Rogers, Bill Schmidt and Courtney Price each won three sets for the Parkers.
In the A Special competition, Central Park put on a dominant display against Noradjuha, winning 11 sets to three, while Brimpaen defeated Horsham Lawn Massey by the same margin.
The final match of the round was much closer, with Drung South edging out Horsham Lawn O'Connor by five games. Sets were tied at seven-all.
Laharum continued its winning form in the A Grade competition, defeating Central Park, seven sets to five.
In other matches, Kalkee took the points over Quantong, seven sets to five, while St Michaels also had a seven-sets-to-five win over Haven Gold.
Horsham Lawn and Homers tussled all day, with Horsham Lawn just getting over the line by seven games, with sets tied six-all.
In the B Special competition, Haven Black and Haven Green faced off, with the former taking the points seven sets to five.
Natimuk had a comfortable victory over Laharum Blue, nine sets to three, while Drung South-Horsham Lutheran beat Horsham Lawn on games, with the match ending at six sets apiece.
In the final match of the round, Laharum Red defeated Brimpaen seven sets to five.
