Organiser Robyn Lardner said tickets were still available for the Art with Flair(s) themed show and could be bought at the door or from Elders Insurance.
She said more than 300 artists from across Australia had registered works for the show.
"We have all different styles of art traditional, contemporary, abstract, wildlife and landscape," she said.
"Each year we try to refine the categories and keep the show dynamic."
Horsham professional artist Debbie Russell said she was thrilled that this year the show had a wildlife category for the first time.
Russell, who has entered a piece called 'Two are better than one' featuring eastern rosellas, said she was a proud nature lover.
"I love wildlife, I always have," she said.
"These guys actually nest each year in my roof, so I have taken lots of photos on which to base my art.
"Exhibiting in the Wimmera Art Show is really good exposure and it's really good to be able to support something local."
Mrs Lardner said there would be prizes for the best dressed couple and best dressed male and female.
"We would love people to come dressed in their best 1970s gear," she said.
"Dave McMaster is coming to play and we have set up the town hall stage like the Sunbury Music Festival, which was famous in the early 1970s."
Mrs Lardner said Horsham Photography Group would have an exhibition and the show would also include a market and craft displays.
She said the show would continue tomorrow from 10am to 4pm and on Sunday from 10am to 3pm.
