Harrow Bush Nursing Centre manager Bernadette Close said the day was a great success.
"Both women and men attended the packed-out event to hear five Harrow women talk about their diverse and thoroughly interesting pathways to our small township," she said.
"The contributing women, Betsey Hunt, Gurjit Sondhu, Sherryn Simpson, Marnie Baker and Sloba Petrovic mesmerised the audience with their candid and often poignant descriptions on how they journeyed to Harrow and why they have stayed since.
"It was an absolutely amazing day, it was packed out and people really enjoyed it.
"Harrow Bush Nursing Centre will make a small profit, but the overall aim of this event was to celebrate International Rural Women's Day, recognise the achievements of participants and help improve community health."
Mrs Close said a Pathways to Harrow booklet, featuring the women's stories, was launched on the day and would become part of a five-year living history project.
"People are still able to order a copy for $15 by calling the centre on 5588 2000," she said.
"I would also like to hear from other Harrow women interested in being part of next year's event."
