Show president Yolande Hutson said it rain constantly from lunchtime onwards.
“The gate was down and we had to cancel our horse events, but the people who did come had a good time,” she said.
“The shed entries were also down, but what we had was good quality – especially the jams and sauces, the judge said they were fantastic.” Ms Hutson said majority of activities were moved indoors.
“The animal nursery went well and so did Professor Wallace and his puppet show,” she said.
“Our lunch was successful – we were still able to do just about everything except for our sheep toss.”
Ms Hutson said residents were trying to work out the last time Jeparit had a wet show day. “We think it must be at least 20 or 30-odd years since we last had a wet day,” she said.
“It will be onwards and upwards next year though.”
