The Central Highlands squad was declared the winner of the nine-team 13-and-under competition after defeating Barwon in a lopsided final.
The Wimmera team finished equal seventh, losing all three of its pool games against South West, Central Highlands and Central Gippsland in straight sets, before succumbing to Mornington Peninsula 3-21 to 2-19 in a nail-biter early on Sunday morning.
Team manager Nick Bush said the squad of Edmund Bush, Jacob Casey, Dylan Thompson, Zac Duffy had all enjoyed the tournament and played some good tennis.
“They played well. There was some good matches against some really strong opposition,” Bush said.
Tournament organisers thanked the Haven club for its efforts in hosting the event.
“Haven Tennis Club was exceptional,” organiser Andrew Reynolds said.
