Hugh and Nicole Goldson plan to open baa 3400, a new bar and tapas venue, on Tuesday.
Mr Goldson said the shared seating and tapas style of food was meant to encourage people to meet up and socialise.
“We think we have found a concept that hits a gap in the market and will compliment the Horsham Town Hall and Horsham itself,” he said.
The venue’s name is a play on Mr Goldson’s heritage, with baa meaning a place to meet and drink with friends in Swahili.
Horsham Rural City Council mayor Pam Clarke said she was thrilled to support the new venture.
“It is with great enthusiasm that Horsham council supports the final stage of the Horsham Town Hall redevelopment with the leasing of the 40-seat restaurant area on Pynsent Street,” she said.
“Hugh and Nicole will provide a unique dining experience for patrons who are attending various events and attractions at the venue.”
