Cindy Cross from Apsley’s Amber Ridge cafe and nursery showed the crowd how to make aioli and pesto.
It was the first time Mrs Cross had ran a cooking demonstration at the field days.
“I made aioli from scratch and pesto from scratch,” she said.
Her demonstration included help from volunteers in the crowd.
“The volunteers did a really good job,” she said.
Mrs Cross said she wanted to use fresh produce as that was the practice she lived by.
Her show included ingredients such as tomatoes and zucchinis.
“I use quality ingredients that are all grown in the region,” she said.
“It all starts with things from the garden.”
Mrs Cross said everything she made was available to taste at the end of the show.
“It was a lovely experience and I would come back in a heartbeat,” she said.
“There was a lovely crowd – I’m from a rural area and it was good to talk to other people from rural areas.”
