Acting Sergeant Mick Baldock said on Sunday afternoon that there had been no major incidents.
“Emergency services were called to Mount Arapiles on Friday night,” Acting Sergeant Baldock said.
Emergency services attended Summit Road at Mount Arapiles after a group of rock climbers became entangled in their ropes but they were able to free themselves before direct assistance was required.
Warracknabeal police attended a single vehicle incident on Stawell-Warracknabeal Road at Kellalac just after 10;30am on Saturday.
A 30-year-old female driver over-corrected when her vehicle went over gravel.
The woman escaped injury in the crash but was take to hospital as a precaution.
Police along the Western Highway between Ararat and Beaufort were searching for an escaped sex offender from Langi Kal Kal Prison on Sunday.
The escapee, Barry Dettman, aged 51, was described as 178 centimeters tall with a thin build, cropped grey hair and blue eyes.
He has numerous tattoos on his upper arms and forearms including an eagle on his right upper arm.
He was last seen wearing green tracksuit pants and a flannelette shirt.
Police have advised that anyone with any information regarding his whereabouts should call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
