It was neck-and-neck in the first half of the encounter at Horsham City Oval, as the scores see-sawed between the two teams.
Colac District eventually defeated Horsham District 40-18.
At the end of the opening term, just one point separated the two sides with Colac district leading seven goals to six.
Much of the same style of play was demonstrated in the second quarter, with Colac District leading by five points coming into the main break.
Colac district led 16-11.
The green and gold’s downfall came in the second half.
The third quarter saw the side manage four goals while Colac District scored nine.
Coach Bianca Mibus said it was a great game, but Colac District proved to be a very good side.
“The girls never gave up and they played some great netball,” she said.
