GREATER Western Victoria Rebels will travel to Sandringham’s Trevor Barker Oval, where they will compete against the Sandringham Dragons in round eight of the 2017 TAC Cup on Saturday at 2pm.

Wimmera footballers set to play in the contest will be Jackson Taurau and Naish McRoberts of Stawell Warriors, Matty Lloyd of Horsham Demons, Charlie Wilson of Warrack Eagles, Angus Gove of Horsham Saints and Jack Antonio of Ararat Rats.

The Rebels are coming off the back of an impressive eight-point win against the Western Jets at Eureka Stadium at the weekend.

It was an honest and well-fought contest all day, the Rebels found themselves 10-points down at the start of the final quarter, but with three unanswered early goals the side set itself up for an adequate final term.

The Rebels will be searching for their fourth win of the season and the second in a row on Saturday.

The Dragons will be looking to bounce back after a 23-point loss to the Murray Bushrangers last week.

The Dragons sit in fourth placed while the Rebels sit in sixth.

Inclusions for the Rebels will be Jacob Lohmann of Lake Wendouree after missing last week due to injury, Josh Chatfield of Koroit who is returning after being out for several weeks due to a lower back injury and Naish McRoberts of Stawell who will return due to the 19-year-old rotation system.
