The league plays in the south-east carnival against the Western Border Football League and the Mid-South Eastern Football League on Saturday.
The carnival is staged over one day with each team playing two half games and then a full final is played.
Coach Brad Richardson said Cameron Sandercock of Border Districts was a definite inclusion in the side.
Richardson said Sandercock was player of the carnival in 2016.
“He’s six-foot-two and very athletic,” he said.
“He has a huge leap and can play just about any position. He can play on-ball, down back or up forward. It’s great having that sort of flexibility in your game.”
Sandercock previously played for Kybybolite.
Bart Nolan is a Border Districts player who is battling injuries and has a 50-50 chance of making the squad.
Nolan is a young, small and quick wing-man.
“He’s been playing some good footy at the club, he’s a fringe player but did very well at training on Sunday,” Richardson said.
Liam Vivian is the player from the Cougars, but he is battling niggling injuries.
“He’s a young player with very good skills and a solid on-baller,” Richardson said.
“All three bring something different to the squad, Bart is a quick outside player, Liam is a tough inside player and Cam brings a lot of reliability, excitement and versatility.”
The carnival has been operating for three years and the KNTFL has won it twice.
“We have always done quite well,” Richardson said.
“This year we have a bit of a mix of players, some new and some that have played before – it’s exciting.
“We have put together a competitive team.”
There was a strong response at the start of training for Richardson.
“We are happy to take the ones that were keen, we had to cut a lot,” he said.
