The ruck rover was named best on ground for the Giants after the side won by 121 points.
The final score was Southern Mallee Giants 23.26 (164) Rupanyup 7.1 (43).
Panthers managed to score in every quarter with the opening term being the side’s worst when it tallied just one behind.
The Giants however, had its best quarter of the game in the first when it scored eight goals and five points.
At the quarter-time huddle the Giants had already mustered up a comfortable 52-point lead.
It was the Panthers time to shine in the second term when the side managed to score four goals – the same amount as the Giants.
The travelling Mallee side also scored five behinds.
At the main break Southern Mallee led 12.10 (82) to Rupanyup 4.1 (25).
The Giants managed to dominate play in the third quarter and won it 6.9 to 1.0.
The Panthers had a mountain to climb.
Southern Mallee had another strong quarter in the final and scored another five goals to round out the day, the Panthers didn’t give up and continued to make progress on the scoreboard.
Rupanyup scored two goals in the fourth quarter.
Kain Robins was in fine form and kicked another seven goals, he was named second best for the Giants.
Schache kicked three goals. Hugh McMurtrie was best on ground for Rupanyup.
