The Eagles have struggled this season for wins but have shown consistent improvement to reduce losing margins, compared to previous years.
The Hawks have started to string some wins together in the middle of the season after and up and down start and will be hoping the good form continues against the Eagles.
The home team will need to be at their best to match the Hawks who will go into the round 12 match as heavy favourites to notch up their eighth win of the season at Ararat’s Alexandra Oval.
The Eagles will be without Ned Hutchison but will have a near-full squad to choose from.
SMW Rovers v Great Western
After having a week off the Lions will be on the road for round 12 to take on the Rovers at Mininera.
The visitors have struggled for much of the season and will have to be at their best if they are to knock off one of the season’s big movers at their home ground.
The Bulldogs will go in as favourites to maintain their top five spot with a win.
Both games are scheduled to start at 2.15pm.
