Border Districts wasn’t able to keep up for the full four quarters when it played Padthaway in round 15 of the Kowree-Naracoorte-Tatiara league.

THERE was a strong breeze when the Cougars hosted the Roosters on Saturday.
After trailling at every break the Cougars managed to get in front when it mattered most and won the game 10.14 (74) to 9.14 (68).
Cougars coach Nick Murphy said he thought his team played well in the first quarter.
“In the second quarter we were unable to take our opportunities,” he said.
One point separated the two teams at the main break.
“The game was exactly what we expected, being a young side we knew they would come out firing,” Murphy said.
“In the first half our ball use wasn’t up to standard.”
Murphy said there were several big moments in the last minutes of the game.
“Toby Stribling scored a clutch goal and Liam Vivian had a great section of play,” he said.
“Our fourth quarter was our best, we improved on our ball use. Our one per-centers were up in that quarter too.”
Alex Brown had a strong game as an inside midfielder and Murphy said his endeavour was terrific.
Murphy scored five goals.
Padthaway 99 def Border Districts 49
A SLOW start for Border Districts hindered the side a chance of winning when it met Padthaway in round 15.
Padthaway finished the game victorious and won 15.9 (99) to 7.7 (49).
Kurtis Phillips was best on ground for Border Districts.
