A loss to Dimboola in round 13 killed off any slim chance the Tigers had of making the finals and for the Rats it was a loss at the hands of the Saints.
Both teams will be chasing their third win of the season. Rats coach Terry Keilar said the team is confident of a good performance against the Tigers.
“We are looking at it as a real chance for a win,” he said.
“We played some good footy against them earlier this season, so hopefully we can continue our form from the Saints game and get a win on Saturday.”
After a strong performance in round 13, Keilar said it was about continuing to work on the same things from previous weeks.
“We have been focusing on reinforcing the basic football stuff like applying pressure and supporting our team mates during the week,” he said.
“Having a full squad available gives the guys confidence and self belief while forcing them to play good footy to keep their spot in the team. We will hopefully have Ryan Bates available and if he gets up, we will have a full squad to select from which is pleasing.”
