Organising committee La Vergne Lehmann said Mr Georgiadis would bring his irresistible and infectious enthusiasm for biodiversity and working with Mother Nature.
The seminar will be at the Horsham Town Hall and this year’s theme is Back to the Future.
The day and evening program includes presentations on native food production, the Wimmera Mallee Pipeline and the future of Landcare.
It also includes a tour to West Wail Flora and Fauna Reserve, dinner and an intimate solo concert with Australian singer songwriter Neil Murray.
Mr Georgiadis is the host and co-creator of Costa’s Garden Odyssey on SBS.
He travels extensively to work with schools, universities, industry groups and communities to promote food and food security, waste and recycling, regenerative agriculture, and water and soil.
“Costa encourages people to challenge themselves and be innovative when it comes to their natural environment, whether it be for the purpose of growing their own food, looking after their precious water and soil resources or being innovative about reducing waste,” Mrs Lehmann said.
“He brings passion and charm to everything he is involved in, and sees things through very enthusiastic eyes.”
Mrs Lehmann said the organising committee was excited to be celebrating 20 years of this iconic Wimmera event.
“There have been so many people involved in putting this event together over many years and to know that is still running and is more relevant than ever is a tribute to the hard work put into developing a great program every year,” she said.
Mrs Lehmann said tickets for the seminar were available online at the Horsham Town Hall website or by calling 5382 9555.
