Horsham District league grand finals | C Grade netball preview

THEY were the top two teams all season, and now Noradjuha-Quantong and Kalkee will take to the court one final time to determine an ultimate champion.

The first match between the teams this season went down to the wire, with the Bombers prevailing by a goal.

In the semi-final two weeks ago, Noradjuha-Quantong again won out, beating the Kees by eight.

The Bombers know grand final heartbreak all too well; they lost last year’s decider by three goals, and the 2015 grand final by a goal.

Joint coach Tennielle O'Callaghan said the team was excited to play in Saturday’s big game.

She said the Bombers had worked hard to build positive energy on and off the court.

“We developed trust in each other to give 100 per cent in our positions,” she said.

“We listen to and support each other.

“We know we have to work hard together and keep up the talk and encouragement on the court throughout the game.”

Kalkee coach Kara Reinheimer said neither team had full sides when they faced off during the season.

“However we both had full sides in our semi-final – it was a really good battle,” she said.

“We weren’t at our best though, and hopefully we've rectified the issues we had in that match.

“We match up pretty well against them actually .

“It will be a tight game.”

Reinheimer said accurate passing was crucial for her team’s chances.
