The team managed a draw against North Central in its first game on Sunday and was within five goals of their opponents in 10 out of 17 games.
Coach Bianca Mibus said her team had an amazing weekend.
“It’s great for the region to be able to send a team away to play at such a high standard,” she said.
She said despite not winning coming within one goal of Two Bays was a highlight of the weekend.
“They made it through to the semi-finals and finished third,” she said.
“That goes to show how well we were playing.”
Mibus said Harrow-Balmoral’s Ella Rees had been a standout for the team.
“She is an an amazing talent,” she said.
She said the team had done well given its limited preparations.
“Because we are such a big region we only had the opportunity to train together a handful of times,” she said.
“Some of the other regions had been training for most of the season.”
