A man suspected of killing a nurse in a hit-and-run crash in Melbourne's south-east has been arrested and charged after spending three days on the run.

The two men accused of helping the alleged fugitive hide from police have also been charged.
Sebastian Kennett, 20, allegedly smashed a stolen white Lexus into a Toyota Yaris in Oakleigh on Monday night, killing the driver, Lynda Hansen.
Ms Hansen, a 53-year-old nurse, was on her way home from work when her car was struck by the Lexus at the intersection of Warrigal Road and Barkly Street about 11pm.
Residents who heard a loud bang went outside and pulled Ms Hansen from her car, but she died at the scene.
Mr Kennett allegedly ran from the scene.
In the days after the crash, Mr Kennett deactivated his Facebook account.
On Wednesday afternoon, police publicly identified Mr Kennett as a person of interest.
It then emerged that Mr Kennett was involved in a crash in Brighton East in 2011 in which 16-year-old Aaron Piroska died.
Detective Senior Sergeant Bradley McArthur said police were stepping their manhunt "up a notch" and would not stop until Mr Kennett was found.
Mr Kennett was arrested with two other men at a house on Fulton Road in Blackburn South on Thursday night.
"A parole warrant was executed which ensures that the man will be immediately returned to prison," police said in a statement.
Mr Kennett was returned to prison and is due to face the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Monday.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have also charged Mr Kennett with dangerous driving causing death, failing to stop after collision with a fatality, failing to render assistance after fatal collision, theft of motor vehicle and driving while disqualified.
The two men with Mr Kennett at the house in Blackburn South were charged on Friday morning.
A 21-year-old man from Glen Waverley was charged with harbouring a known offender, theft of a motor vehicle, drug possession and committing an indictable offence while on bail.
A 26-year-old man from Blackburn South was charged with harbouring a known offender, weapons offences and outstanding warrants.
Both men were due to face Ringwood Magistrates Court on Friday.
Ms Hansen's family have said they were "shocked and devastated" by her death and said the nurse lived her life to help others, especially her elderly mother.
"Lynda was a very caring and family orientated person," the family said in a statement.
"She was a compassionate cardiac nurse at a large private hospital and was excited to be commencing a new position within the hospital in the next week."
"Lynda was dedicated to her spiritual life, enjoyed yoga and sang in a gospel choir."
The family also paid tribute to a number of witnesses who made valiant attempts to save Ms Hansen's life.
"We wish to thank the caring people who tried to help Lynda, and Victoria Police force for all of their support," the statement said.
The white Lexus was allegedly stolen from a property in Elwood on September 28, while the owners were away, police said.
