ARARAT’S Trash and Treasure Market this weekend will provide financial support for the town’s annual Christmas celebration.
The Trash and Treasure Market will run from 8am to 1pm on Sunday at the Alexandra Hall in Ararat.
The trash and treasure market will include the usual craft, edible goodies, plants and books.
Carols by Candlelight co-ordinator Joe Perry said money from the market would go towards running the annual Carols by Candelight event.
Carols by Candlelight will be in the Alexandra Gardens on December 9.
“I think it will be the 24th time we have run the Carols by Candlelight,” Mr Perry said.
“They will also be fairy floss and balloons for the children and hopefully a visit from the jolly fat man himself, Santa Claus.
“It’s Ararat putting on show for Ararat.”
Run by the Y's Men's and Y's Menettes Clubs, Ararat’s Carols by Candlelight events attract hundreds of people.
The clubs celebrated 20 years of carols in 2014, when the Carols by Candlelight were moved to a Saturday to enable families the peace of mind of a 'sleep in' on Sunday.
