THE Wimmera Regional Tennis junior tournament action returns at the weekend for the summer’s second competition in Warracknabeal.

Competitors will be looking to improve from their efforts at the first tournament, which was held at Central Park in November.

Entries are open for four age groups – under-10s, under-12s, under-14s and over-15s.

Tournament co-ordinator Lynley Clyne said numbers were looking good ahead of the weekend.

“We have about 50 juniors entered at the moment and entries are open until Friday,” she said.

“We haven’t held a junior competition at Warracknabeal for a few years, so we are looking forward to hosting one again.”

The competition will start around 9am on Sunday with tennis continuing until 5pm. To enter in the Warracknabeal junior tournament you can contact Ms Clyne on 0429 412 870.
