The changes aim to make more parking available for patients and visitors.
Health care group chief executive Catherine Morley said the changes came about after community feedback showed people were not happy with the amount of parking available, especially to access the emergency department during business hours.
“We are listening to the community and we have made some changes to the car park in between the hospital’s Arapiles building and the emergency department,” she said.
“That car park will now be designated for patients and visitors of the emergency department or patients going to appointments in the Arapiles building.”
Ms Morley said the changes complement the large car park that was added at the rear of the hospital to encourage team members not to take parks in the premium positions near the main entrances.
“We have made these changes to try to ease the burden on people finding parking,” she said.
“We understand it can still be difficult during peak appointment times.
“We are always working to try to improve the parking situation at the Horsham campus.
“We value feedback and use this to improve our services.”
