Assistant principal Rebecca Talbot said 10 couples have been busy practicing their dance steps.
She said the students had been rehearsing all term with trainer Jan Morris.
“The students are doing really well and they know all the full dances now,” she said.
Ms Talbot said the debutantes would be presented to Horsham Rural City Council mayor Pam Clarke and Federation University Associate Professor Geoff Lord.
“There was a lot of interest from the students about what a debutante ball involves and they are really excited for the big night,” she said.
The formal presentation will occur in the main theatre of the Horsham Town Hall followed by a supper and disco.
“We would like to extend an open invitation to all Wimmera residents to this special event,” she said.
Ms Talbot said tickets can be purchased at www.horshamtownhall.com.au for $20 per person.
