Stawell car theft: GPS, purse, CDs stolen

BRAZEN thieves have rummaged through a parked vehicle in broad daylight and stolen items worth up to $480.

Stawell Sergeant Bryan Anderson said the car was parked on a Barnes Street driveway between 10am and 11.15am on Tuesday when it was targeted. 

A handbag with a purse inside, Navman GPS and a number of CDs were stolen. 

Stawell police are investigating the incident. 

They have asked anyone with information to call Stawell Police Station on 5358 8222 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
