About 600 people attended the annual event.
Committee president Hugh Caldow said he was worried about the wind early in the day, but luckily no tents blew away.
“The wind shifted in the afternoon and there was a bit more protection,” he said.
Mr Caldow said a highlight of the event each year was the street parade.
“Our street procession was really good – we had more than 20 trucks involved,” he said.
“The whole day was great with everyone mingling.”
Mr Caldow said crowd numbers were slightly down on last year.
“However, last year we had a record number of people,” he said.
The day ended with a fireworks display at 9.30pm.
“The fireworks would have been just as good as Sydney ones on New Year’s Eve,” Mr Caldow said.
“We have people come from Adelaide to do them and they always bring a good show.”
