Basketball was back in a big way this week!
Aside from the men’s and women’s sides having a showdown with Bendigo at the weekend and the association’s small but dedicated band of volunteers working hard to host a very successful weekend, the domestic competition produced some red-hot basketball.
In the senior girls, Energy held off Charge by two points. Jasmine Johns hit Charges’ last bucket to draw within two but it wasn’t quite enough when time expired, Energy winning, 48-46.
In the under 14 boys game between the Kings and the Bullets, the Kings hung on to win by one point, with Freddy Frew nailing the winning basket. Kings won 39/38.
