Northern Grampians Shire Council manager of environment and community safety Warren Groves said the demands came after an inspection by the council’s building department.
"An order and notice relating to rectification works has been placed on the property following an inspection by council's building department, but the property certainly has not been condemned and discussions with the property's owner are ongoing," he said.
Brix Hotel owners Marnie and Craig Rowden bought the business in the middle of last year after moving to Stawell from Point Cook.
They were contacted for comment.
