Horsham-based business Ultimate Helicopters will operate at the field days on Tuesday and Thursday for the first time, while returning business Grampians Helicopters will operate on Wednesday.

Field days manager Murray Wilson said one of the key outcomes of the event was the opportunity to provide something different.

“A helicopter flight to see the field days from the air will provide a unique experience for visitors as part of our event,” he said.

Both Ultimate Helicopters and Grampians Helicopters will offer five, 10 and 15 minute joy flights, starting from $60 a person.

Mr Wilson said the flights offered an amazing opportunity for patrons to see how big and impressive the field days site was.

“It will certainly give people the chance for a unique view of the field days in its entirety,” he said.

“We expect it to be an exciting and popular feature for the event this year.”
