The Warriors will once again look to their juniors to lead the way this year, with an added season of A Grade experience under their belt crucial to the development of the club’s netball program.
Kelly Cosson returns as A Grade coach this season and she hopes she can see her young players continue to improve with more experience to their names.
“I would like to see us improve by developing skills further for the younger players in the team, she said.
“At this stage I am interested in how our juniors go stepping up in the senior ranks.
“The young girls have already shown they learnt from last season from what I saw in our game against Ararat on Good Friday.”
The Warriors welcome back the experience of Jemma Clarkson and Jade Cross this season to help lead the younger players.
Cosson said she expects to see her side bring a high tempo game to every match.
“I hope to see a high skill level and pressure on the ball down the court, all down the court for whole 60 minutes,” she said.
The Warriors are coming from a long way back from the rest of the competition but their young players will be the driving force to change their fortune.
Q & A with Kelly Cosson
How would you like your team to improve this season?
We want to develop skills further for the younger players in the team.
Has your squad changed much from last season?
We have brought up two juniors in Kasey Mornane and Dakota Cosson. Hatcher medalist Jemma Clarkson returns along with Jade Cross this season from having their little family members last year. The inclusion of Tarnee Orr after last year's experience will benefit the mid court.
Is there anybody who is new to the club?
New to the club is Rachel Wood who will work well with Ebony Summers in defence and along with last years reigning best and fairest Lisa Fleming.
