About 30 people from four years old to elders participated in the art project.
The workshop was guided by artist Josh Muir.
Goolum Goolum’s health and wellbeing programs manager Dean O’Loughlin said the focus of the project was about empowering women.
“It was about bringing women, children and men together to discuss all the great things local Indigenous women bring to the community,” he said.
“People started talking about their own mothers, grandmothers and great grandmothers, which we put down into images.”
“We gathered the images together and put it into a big art piece.”
Mr O’Loughlin said the workshop received a positive response.
He said he hoped to offer more art workshops going forward.
“We are hoping to unearth more local indigenous artists to help us with the project,” he said.
