The Falcons took on last season’s grand finalists in Vic Park and defeated the opposition 4-0 at Moreshead Park.
It was an even start in the opening 10 minutes of the contest. The Falcons started to control the game after 20 minutes.
Reuben Macchia, playing in a different position to the first game, opened the scoring five minutes from half time with a low, near post shot from outside the box.
Macchia scored the second goal for the Falcons at about the 55th minute with another long shot which flew past the goalkeeper in the bottom right corner.
Returning forward Kane Clarke made it three-nil five minutes later with a header, from a pin-point corner from Camilo Velasquez Villa.
Dardareh Maw Kay scored the fourth and final goal for the Falcons with a sublime free kick 30 yards from goal.
The Falcons play Ballarat White at Pleasant Street on Sunday at 1pm.
