Now celebrating its 40th year, the popular circus troupe will perform its latest show Model Citizens.
Performer Lachlan Sukroo has been in love with circus acts since he was 8.
The acrobat and juggler joined Circus Oz a year ago.
He said the best thing about being a part of the show was its lighthearted and fun style.
“It’s very humourous. People can expect to have a lot of fun and see some amazing, dazzling feats,” he said.
“I get to perform a whole range of different acts, from being an acrobatic base, to box juggling and even doing a bit of clowning.”
Model Citizens explores Australian society and what it means to be a part of it.
Performers use over-sized everyday objects as circus equipment to create an intriguing new playground.
“It’s based around this idea that everyone is the same and one outsider comes in and changes everything,” Sukroo said.
“This is very much a family show – the kids will love that it’s fun and exciting, while adults will get the satire behind the story.”
Circus Oz will perform shows at 2pm and 8pm.
Tickets cost $60 for adults, $55 for concession, $40 for students, $30 for children under 12 and $150 for families.
Organisers said people could call the town hall box office on 5382 9555 or visit www.horshamtownhall.com.au to book.
