Ballarat-based Bentley Property Group bought a site in Baillie Street – near the former Horsham Church of Christ site – in mid-2015, with the aim of building a medical centre and a childcare centre.

In February 2016, construction started on a Bluebird Early Education Centre at the site. Bluebird opened in October of that year.

Bentley Property Group’s Andrew Ferguson said the group was working with a medical operator who was interesting in taking the other part of the site.

“We expect some news shortly,” he said.

Medical centre plans included room for 13 practitioners and a pathology service.​
