Natimuk United coach Sam Anson said he expects the Saints to come out firing, as they look to break their two-game winless run.
“It should be a pretty exciting game,” he said.
“They will be super competitive trying to nut that first win out. Obviously at Apsley as well, it is a tough ground to play on. It’s a long way to travel for teams this side of Horsham, so that’s a ticket to them.”
The Rams finished without a bench in last week’s win against Rupanyup.
“There are a couple of wounded soldiers, as expected,” Anson said.
“In general there would be a lot of sore bodies across every team, I would say. It was a pretty physical round and with the grounds, weather and conditions played in last week, I expect there would be some soreness.”
With two wins from two games and playing some exciting football, Anson said there was a good feeling going around at the club.
“There is a good vibe at the club, but we aren’t getting ahead of ourselves,” he said.
“We are just confident in the way we are going about our footy. We aren’t cocky by any means. We are taking it one week at a time and focusing on the things we can control.”
The Saints are coming off a disappointing loss to Kalkee, in which the conditions made football tough. The side has still been competitive this season, and if it can limit its skill errors it would be hopeful of pushing the Rams, especially at home.
