Warracknabeal Senior Constable David Piera said the BMW was alight when emergency services arrived at the scene in Anderson Street after a call about 9am.
“One Country Fire Authority truck came but by the time they got there it was completely up in flames,” he said.
“The driver saw some smoke coming from the car and pulled over, and the car then went up in flames.
“It appeared to be an electrical fault.
“The driver was not injured.
“There is nothing left of the car.”
Senior Constable Piera said there was nothing suspicious about the fire.
