A change in schedule for the one-off night fixture at Murtoa meant the club’s youngest footballers took on Dimboola under lights following the completion of the senior Wimmera Football League fixture.
As is often traditional the senior Burra’s side lined up at the edge of the ground to welcome the next team on to the field.
The players, fresh from a 149-point win against the Roos, formed a tunnel with their raised arms as the excited youngsters raced onto the field.
Even after running around at the ground for most of the day the side was still bubbling with energy and ran out the match well with a big crowd watching on.
After the match it was back to the change room where the club song was belted out with pride. Senior players and parents alike lined the edge of the room while the juniors celebrated their first game in style.
