The Country Fire Authority and Forest Fire Management Victoria burn will take place in the Rocklands State Forest near the Grampians, about 85km south of Horsham between noon and 6pm.
The objective of the burn is to reduce the chances of a bushfire in the area. Roads in the area might be affected, and people are advised to stay clear.
Smoke might be visible across the Wimmera.
If you are experiencing any symptoms that might be due to smoke exposure, the Department of Health and Human Services advises you should seek medical advice or call Nurse on Call on 1300 606 024.
