This special event took place at St Michael and John’s Parish Centre.
Under the leadership of club president, Marivic Vix, the Wimmera Filipino-Australian Club creates an opportunity for people of all ages, who have come from the Philippines to now call Australia home, to meet and socialise together.
Saturday’s meeting featured music, dance and song from Wimmera Filipino-Australians, with all members enjoying an afternoon of fun and fellowship.
Committee members were sworn in during the afternoon.
Guest speakers Emily Telfer, from the Wimmera Development Association, and councillor Mark Radford, from Horsham Rural City, encouraged the group and handed out various awards.
With a membership of over 150, including children, club members come from Donald, Stawell, Nhill, Warracknabeal, Horsham and right across the Wimmera region.
