Boydy’s store owner Judith Heeps said she had the Madhatter’s tea party artwork painted onto the window to support the Silo Art Trail.
However, she said the artwork was destroyed on Friday night.
“I left the store at 11.30pm that night and returned in the morning to find someone had thrown paint over the artwork,” she said.
Ms Heeps said she was devastated that someone thought they could destroy another person’s property.
“Members of the community are gobsmacked and horrified for the painting to be destroyed,” she said. “I wanted to support the silo art idea and give an extra attraction for tourists to enjoy when visiting Rupanyup.”
Ms Heeps said she was concerned that people might considering vandalising the silo art.
