I am from Ballarat and have always lived just out of the city on 25 acres. 

As a child, I often would go to my grandfather’s farm.

I would spend days out there with him, as I couldn't get enough of the farming life. 

As I have grown older I still spend time at the farm whenever I can, trying to learn everything I can about the farming industry, as I have always been so passionate about it. 

Making the last minute decision earlier this year to move two hours from home and study at Longerenong College was a very scary, yet exciting experience for me and I haven't looked back since. 

Longerenong College has already taught me so much about the hundreds of different paths available to me when I graduate.

I am loving learning about all of these different areas as they all interest me and I want to keep my options open for when I do go into the workplace. 

Longerenong was definitely the right choice for me and I wouldn't change my experience so far. I have met some wonderful people who, like me, are keen to work in the agricultural industry.

However, being taught by teachers that are so passionate about what they are teaching and all of the extra help they offer students makes studying here so much easier and enjoyable.

I am very excited about my next year and a half at this wonderful college and can not wait to see where this education will take me in the future.
