He said his side would look to make a run at the finals starting with a big game this weekend against the Rams. Laharum sits in seventh position, two points behind the fifth-placed Rams.
“It’s an important game for both sides – we’ve been working on our ball use and want to limit our unforced errors this week,” he said.
“We have played some really good football but then made some simple errors. We’ve signed on past players Ollie and Fred Harrison and Daniel Easson, who won our 2014 senior best and fairest.
“They are three handy recruits who have played juniors at Laharum and Ollie and Fred will be available for selection this week.”
Lacklustre starts against Kalkee and the Swifts have hurt the Rams this season with senior coach Sam Anson hoping for a strong start against the Demons.
“We need to adjust our warm up, we’ve discussed it together so we will try a bit of a change this week and see how that works out,” he said.
“We’ve only played one game in a month and no one really wants that much time off at this point of the season, but we are definitely fresh.
“They have some good players who we will watch and try to keep their influence to a minimum.
“Other than that we will really be focusing on our own game. Whoever wins this game will definitely benefit come finals time in the long run.”
