Southern Roos coach Nick Pekin said his side was fired up after losing its unbeaten status to Jeparit-Rainbow before the bye.
The side would feel confident of claiming a win against Rupanyup, who has had a tough season so far.

- Nick Pekin
“We need to get that good feeling around the boys again,” Pekin said.
“There were a few heads down after the loss to the Storm and I told them we need to stick together.

“A loss at that time of the year isn’t a bad thing and it’s reinvented a few of the guys. Things are positive and we are looking forward to running out there again. We want to get back on the winners list for sure.
“I’m looking forward to seeing how some of their players go in Jack Musgrove, Matt Tyler and Elliot Kelly.”
The Southern Roos will be boosted by the inclusion of assistant coach Simon Close from injury.
“Our midfield accountability is an area we really need to work on and Simon Close will be back in the mix this week which will be great,” Pekin said.
“He is a big on-field leader and will help us with how we structure up going forward.”
