Mr Dunn will begin his journey at Cape York in Queensland and will ride 3,595 kilometres to Sydney in NSW. 

He will then run 875 kilometres from Sydney to Lakes Entrance in Victoria, before swimming 135 kilometres in the final leg to Wilsons Promontory. 

This year, Mr Dunn is raising money and awareness for Melbourne Indigenous Transition School (mits).

“They get kids from families who want them to get the best education possible, coming from Indigenous communities and remote places,” he said. 

“Rather than them coming straight to a boarding school and having to adapt to what it’s like there and get thrown in the deep end.

“There’s a few detours on the way, definitely not the most direct route but I am looking forward to it.”

Mr Dunn previously eased through the stand-up paddleboard trip which took him across the Codamine, Balonne, Culgoa, Darling and Murray rivers to raise money for Deaf Children Australia. 

He also raised money for the Aurora Early Intervention Centre after he kayaked down the Murray River and also conquered the Everest Base Camp. 

Mr Dunn said this is was the first time this had been done, and that this time around, it was completely self supported. 

“I am looking at starting on September 10 and if everything goes to plan, it should take three months,” he said.
