Students started their dress rehearsals on Monday in preparation for three performances on Thursday and Friday.
Director Tanya Mock said the student’s enthusiasm has not faltered and continued to lift the closer they get to opening night. The cast is made up of 200 people from year three to six students.
Ms Mock said The Lion King Jr allowed her to create a cast as big as she needed. She said it was important that all students had the opportunity to participate in the production. She said it was a journey and students’ performed exceptionally.
“I wanted to give students the experience and chance to be in a show. It allows them to build life skills and in the process they learn things like team work and commitment,” she said.
She said students would perform a matinee and evening performance on Thursday and an evening show on Friday.
