Erene Vivian said: “A lovely genuine man, who lived for his beloved Dot and their family. I first met Bernie some 50 years ago in Warracknabeal, and will always remember him as a wonderful young man, dedicated to his farming roots and always working for the betterment of others.”
Horsham mayor Pam Clarke said he was a wonderful mentor and friend when she started as a councillor.
“He led by example. A man of integrity, honesty and passion for his community. It was an honour to have known him. Condolences to the Dunn family,” she said.
His funeral service will be at St Andrew’s Uniting Church in Horsham on Thursday at 2pm.
